How to Measure Your Head
- Use a soft measuring tape.
- Wrap it around your head just above your eyebrows and ears.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight.
- The measurement in centimeters (cm) is your head size.

Will this flatten my curls or a blowout?
The crown is cut roomy on purpose, and the surface on your hair is 22-momme silk, not straw. Most women keep volume through a full day; if you are between sizes, take Large.
How do I choose Medium vs Large?
Medium is 56.5–58 cm. Large is 58.5–60 cm. Between sizes, take Large. Use the 60-second Fit Quiz if you are unsure—size exchanges in the U.S. are free.
How do I care for the silk lining?
Keep the lining dry when you can. Spot-clean silk with a barely damp cloth; do not machine-wash. Store the hat brim-up so the structure and wrap stay true.
Will the straw scratch my hairline?
The lining covers the crown where the hat sits. Edges and wraps are finished so straw is not sawing at your hair the way a bare tourist brim does.
What if the size is wrong?

I took my Soleil hat on vacation and ended up wearing it almost every day. That does have a nice lining and it is a very wide Brim. The brim arrived a little bit bent from the shipping container but I think it's workable. It's a very straight firm rim. That's one small issue because it sticks out very straight and it's so broad that it's hard to walk through a doorway without it hitting either side of the frame. I'm on the shorter side so I feel like it looks a little ridiculous on me.
