DAMAZO FIT GUIDE
Find Your Perfect Fit
Damazo hats are designed with deeper crowns and silk-lined interiors to help protect your hair while maintaining a comfortable, flattering fit.
How to Measure Your Head
- Use a soft measuring tape.
- Wrap it around your head just above your eyebrows and ears.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight.
- The measurement in centimeters (cm) is your head size.
Tip: Measure with your hair styled the way you normally wear it.

A structured fedora designed with your hair in mind
Built for women who want a polished brim without flattening curls, volume, or a morning blowout. The Soteria keeps its line all day because the crown is deep and the surface that actually touches hair is 22-momme mulberry silk—not raw straw.
Silk where hair meets hat
22-momme OEKO-TEX® mulberry silk lines the inner crown so friction, frizz, and that scratchy band stay off your hair.
Deep, volume-friendly crown
A 6 in / 15.2 cm crown sits over curls, waves, coils, and protective styles instead of pressing them down.
Handcrafted crown wrap
Each wrap is finished by hand so the silhouette feels artisanal from the brim up, not factory-flat.

What Touches Your Hair Makes the Difference
Most straw hats spend the budget on the outside. Compare the lining, crown depth, and all-day structure that actually decide how your hair looks when the hat comes off.
Soteria silk-lined fedora
Typical unlined straw fedora
From straw to silk-lined crown in three quiet details
Each Soteria piece is built so shade, breathability, and hair space work together—not as afterthoughts on a stiff tourist brim.
-
01
Breathable straw, not a heat trap
Open weave keeps air moving on warm days while the silhouette stays refined enough for lunch, travel, and garden hours.
-
02
Oversized brim that holds shape
A wide brim that holds its shape for reliable coverage without the flop.
-
03
Handcrafted wrap, roomy crown
Layered wraps finished by hand sit over a crown sized for real hair—straight, wavy, curly, coily—plus silk at the contact point.

Care
Will this flatten my curls or a blowout?
The crown is 6 in / 15.2 cm so volume has somewhere to sit. Choose Large if you wear extra lift, braids, or thick hair.
I’m between Medium and Large—what should I do?
Go Large for a relaxed, volume-friendly fit. Measure with hair styled the way you normally wear the hat.
Is the silk actually on the part that touches my hair?
Yes. The inner crown is lined in 22-momme 100% mulberry silk (OEKO-TEX®), the same idea as a silk pillowcase, where the hat meets hair.
Does it work for straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair?
The lining is smooth across textures. The deep crown is what keeps coils and protective styles from being crushed.
How do I keep the straw and lining looking new?
Spot-clean the exterior, keep it out of crushing bags, and store on a stand or stuffed crown so the fedora line holds.
What if the fit isn’t right when it arrives?
If it isn’t the hat you hoped for, we’ll help you exchange or return it within 14 days.
