Most beanies put wool or acrylic knit straight against your hair. This one lines the entire interior in 22-momme mulberry silk, so what sits on your curls, coils or waves all winter is smooth silk instead of rough knit.

Will it fit curls, braids, or locs?
Classic is a close, cuffed fit. Oversized adds extra length at the back, which gives more room for volume, braids and locs. There is no ponytail opening.
Is it only for women?
No. It’s for anyone who wants smooth silk, not knit, against their hair under a winter hat.
Is a silk-lined beanie still warm?
Yes. The outside is 100% wool in a fine-gauge knit with a folded ribbed cuff, and the silk lining sits underneath it as a second layer.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash in cool water with a gentle wool detergent. Don’t wring or tumble dry; press out the water and lay flat to dry so the silk lining stays smooth.
Can I exchange it for another color or shape?
Yes. Contact us within 14 days to exchange for a different color or for the other shape. Eligible items can also be returned for a refund, with a $9.95 return-shipping deduction.
Does silk line the whole beanie?
Yes, the entire interior, not just a band at the hairline.
Is it okay for color-treated hair?
The lining is 100% mulberry silk, OEKO-TEX® certified, made for straight, wavy, curly, coily and color-treated hair. It’s designed to help reduce friction; it is not a medical treatment.
